One more race.

As the NASCAR season comes to a close, I’m reminded once again about empty Sunday’s. Time to find something to fill that time slot.

As much as I’d love to see Matt Kenseth beat Jimmie Johnson for the Cup win, I am just not optimistic it can happen. And for another year, I have to listen to friends that are fans of Jimmie, talk about the #6Pack that is Jimmie Johnson. Ugh.

It was a crazy year. We saw (I saw first hand) a wreck that put Denny Hamlin in the hospital, a different wreck that temporarily put Tony Stewart in a wheelchair and out for the rest of the season, fights between drivers and owners, fights between drivers, cheating, car manipulation, objects literally falling out of the sky and wrecking race cars, drivers suspended for drug use, and most recently, an MS diagnosis. What. A. Year.

Since Busch is mathematically out of it, I can only hope he finishes well enough to pull off a 2nd place Cup finish. That would be great, considering.

On to Homestead-Miami.
