Candle making.
Welcome to my Monday morning.
I opened up a box last week, and saw two gallon sized Ziploc bags full of these small little candles. I had been toting these two bags around everywhere I’ve moved for the past 11 or 12 years, thinking that maybe one day I’d pull them out and make something with them. Today was that day. Finally!
This morning after SS left for work, I decided I would put off playing FarmVille 2, and see what I could do with these candles.
The bags I had, were full of these….
I pulled the wicks out of each one of them, and had them lined up and ready to use at the end…
I cut all the candles into little pieces so that I could get them into the little cups I was going to use to melt them. The smaller the pieces, the less time it takes to melt…
Here’s all the little pieces in the little cups – water boiling…
Up close…and personal….with boiling water…and melting wax…
Melting is complete. Time to remove….
Fresh poured wax….with wick in place…
New Vanilla candle.
If you come to my house, you’ll see this one in the downstairs guest bathroom…
I made a total of four candles, of all different sizes and scents. They have to sit for 24hrs, so we’ll see how they look and smell tomorrow.
Until next time….
